Kyle’s background in construction and education in commercial real estate gives him a unique industry perspective and skillset used to add value to his teammates and clients.
Since joining Pro-Ject International in 2019, Kyle has overseen direct project management, design procurement and vendor coordination. His responsibilities also include the coordination of tenant improvements, construction, payment, procurement of owner furnished materials and document control during the development of 15,000 sf of commercial retail. Kyle is actively involved in the identification, evaluation and financial analysis of new development sites, as well as performing replacement cost analysis and real estate evaluations for real estate litigation support in various eminent domain projects. He also aids the team in marketing, business development and asset management.
Prior to joining Pro-Ject International, Kyle experienced a wide range of commercial real estate transactions. He has worked in the field and main office with four General Contractors including one of the world’s largest, vertically integrated apartment development and property management firms, GreyStar. More experience came as a Project Engineer with Verdex Construction during the erection of a waterfront, 18,000 sf mixed-use restaurant and office building in Jupiter, FL. Kyle also worked on a $200M renovation of the world’s busiest airport in Atlanta, GA, with McCarthy Building Companies. Throughout his time in construction, he was responsible for various aspects of project management including control of submittals and RFIs, project buyout, subcontractor coordination, owner relations, daily site activity and safety. In addition, he has produced market and project-specific research for multiple development companies and the Avison Young brokerage firm.
From the University of Florida, Kyle Larsen earned a Master’s in Real Estate where he received training in technology platforms, finance, valuation, and development of multiple asset types. He also received a Bachelor’s in Construction Management from which he learned the principles of project management, estimating, BIM design, structures and MEP trades. In his time at UF, Kyle led multiple collegiate organizations and competed in numerous real estate case studies including abroad in Santiago, Chile. He was born in Jupiter, FL, and grew up on the baseball diamond and residential job sites alongside his father, a local General Contractor. In his spare time, Kyle volunteers at the Tampa Bay Veteran Affairs (VA) Hospital and trains in Krav Maga, an Israeli Martial Art.
